KPMG West Africa New Head Is Nii Amanor Dodoo

KPMG West Africa, comprising Ghana Sierra Leone and Liberia, has announced the appointment of Nii Amanor Dodoo as its Chief Executive Officer from January 2014.

He will succeed Joseph Winful, current Senior Partner and CEO of the auditing firm, who retires in December.

Mr. Winful, who has been a Partner of the firm since 1990 and Senior Partner since 2001, will also retire as member of the Africa Board and the Executive Committee of KPMG Africa.

During his tenure he tripled the number of employees on the payroll, and through his leadership and vision helped KPMG maintain its position as one of the leading consulting firms in Ghana and West Africa.

Mr. Dodoo is currently head of the audit practice. He is a chartered accountant with extensive experience in accounting, auditing, receivership and liquidation, and has been with the firm for over 30 years. He is also famous for appearing as a witness for KPMG in the hearing of the election petition by the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, Kofi Frempong Kore, a director of the audit practice, has been admitted to the Partnership with effect from 1st October, 2013. Kofi has over 15 years experience in audit, where he served some of the firm?s largest clients in the energy and mining sectors.

He holds a Business Administration degree from the University of Ghana and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants, Ghana. He will be supporting the firm?s tax unit during this period of growth and expansion.
