Zone 1 Middle League Kick Start

RTU The national middle league for zone 1 kicked started at esipong sports stadium and Robert Mensah sports stadium today with exciting games. The zone 1 middle league delayed because of court injunction. With Gomoa ferynood academy and Accra great olympics already qualifying for next season first capital plus league.

 


One team is expected to qualify from zone 1 to join the remaining 15 clubs for the 2014/15 league season. The teams competing in the zone 1 comprises of three clubs who have tasted the top league before, Berekum Arsenal, Brong Ahafo united, Real Tamale United with new comers Wa Africa United.

 


At the Esipong stadium, R.T.U beat Wa Africa United 3-2 with R.T.U scoring all their three goals in the first half with two consolation goals from Wa Africa United in the second half. Former blacks stars player Mohammed Gargo was leading R.T.U at the technical bench.

 


B.A United walloped Berekum Arsenal at the Robert Mensah sports stadium by 2-0 enhancing their chances of qualifying clear and bright. The match was a regional derby and both teams have played in the top flight league before.
The second match of the zone 1 national middle league continues?on Wednesday?with B.A United facing R.T.U and Berekum Arsenal also facing Wa Africa United with the last matches to be played?on Saturday.
