The people are accusing the state government of imposing curfew on Bauchi town to allow its agents alter election results, noting the state capital was not among the areas attacked on Saturday and Sunday (March 28, 29), therefore the curfew is suspicious.

They have vowed to keep vigil at the INEC office until election results are out.

Bauchi Governor, Isa Yuguda had imposed a 24-hour curfew in three local government areas of Bauchi State ? the state capital Bauchi, Kirfi and Alkaleri.

According to the State Government, ?the curfew was as a result of the ongoing battle between soldiers and Boko Haram fighters,? noting it would enable security agencies to restore normalcy in the areas.

However, before the curfew was ordered, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state had alleged that Governor Yuguda was planning to impose the curfew so as to manipulate the results of the presidential and National Assembly elections in which APC was reported leading.
