UntitledYoung at Heart GH is a youth driven organization that focuses on bridging the gap of computer literacy among children in urban areas and children in rural settings in Ghana. The organization believes that computer literacy should be championed at the formative stages of children. This promotes familiarity of the use of computers as a tool in this modern day and age where Information Technology is adapted in improving the quality of education.
Young At Heart GH categorizes the problems facing the quality of education in rural and deprived settings into 3 areas. The areas namely are the Lack of Teaching Personnel, Lack of Logistics and the Lack of Infrastructure. The organization adapts a dynamic and different approach towards championing computer literacy in rural and deprived communities since it believes simply donating computers to schools in deprived areas does not entirely solve the problem of illiteracy.

In order to tackle the problem of the Lack of Teaching Personnel which serves as an impediment towards ICT education Young At Heart engages volunteers from tertiary institutions who are trained to gently guide children in targeted areas and empower them with basic computing skills. So far volunteers have been engaged from KNUST, University of Ghana, All Nations University College, Kumasi Polytechnic and Koforidua Polytechnic. To tackle the lack of logistics and infrastructure an ICT hub is established in the community of impact, and furbished with computers thus allowing for successful televised teaching lessons. This encourages children who have already been empowered with basic computer skills to utilize computers to study other subjects like English, Mathematics and Science.

So far over 1000 school children have been empowered in villages in the Atwima Mponua District , Ashanti Region total of 12 outreaches have been children in basic schools spread across 3 regions in Ghana as well as establishing one ICT hub in a village called Aboabogya, at the Atwima Mponua district, Ga West District Greater Accra in conjunction with World Vision Ghana and also New Juabeng North District, Eastern Region. 2 ICT HUBs have been established, one in Aboabogya Atwima Mponua district, Ashanti Region in conjunction with Patriot Ghana KNUST chapter and another at Adweso, Eastern Region. Young At Heart GH is calling on interested partnering agencies to come on board to support this good cause.
