Under fire businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome has finally spoken, days after his release on bail from CID cells and has thanked persons he calls “enemies” for his arrest.

Mr. Woyome who was arrested over the GH¢ 51 million judgment debt said he was thankful to the people who orchestrated what he terms a “dramatic arrest” and the abuse of his human rights since February 3.

Mr. Woyome was arrested and detained on February 3rd, after the Economic and Organized Crimes Office (EOCO) submitted its interim report implicating him in manipulation of documents and information to milk the country for receiving the judgment debt under false pretenses.

In a statement signed by the NDC financier, Mr. Woyome, he said, “It is not normal or usual to thank those who plot against you, but I use this opportunity to thank those whose actions and directives led to me being dramatically arrested for what some people have described as being “gargantuan crimes. ”

He added: “I spent those couple of weeks in custody reflecting on all that had happened, and I have come out even more energized to continue to serve my God and to even more actively offer my support and assistance in serving the best interests of my country. ”

Mr. Woyome continued to thank the Chiefs of the Volta Region, members of the Volta Caucus, Voltarians and supporters in all the regions for their show of solidarity and the police for their kind manner in which he and his family were being treated during the period of his arrest.
