[ Nana Mensah] After only eight (8) weeks of being on aired on Ghana?s no.1 entertainment channel Viasat 1 Ghana, ?Bedroom Diaries Of A Black Woman? has been nominated for the ?World Summit Award? for the Best E-inclusion & Empowerment and Best E-Media & Journalism show on TV.
The reality show, one of its kind currently on Ghanaian TV takes viewers into the lives of five beautiful and independent women played by Benny Bonsu (Lexi Shah), Belinda Sefakor (Yoni), Maame Adwoa (Debbs), Julian Clement (Nadra) , Makkie Sasu 9Maxim) who share their ?real? life stories and journeys to overcome the many challenges they face as women with twist and turns.
So popular is the show that within just a few weeks, the world?s attention has been drawn to it which has sparked a new conversation and revolution in the way and manner quality television productions can affect the lives of many people in society.
Ms Benny Bonsu, who also doubles as the Executive Producer in an interview was full of praise for the cast and crew for going the extra mile to make the show a success and to sponsors RLG, She Energy Drink, Woolworth and La Villa boutique.
She was particular grateful to the African Union Dinner & Awards 2013 committee who acknowledged her many successes and awarded her for being ?An inspiration to the next generation? during its 2013 Awards night in Accra.
According to her, the whole experience has been ?simply emotional and amazing? ? a dream coming through with NBA in Ghana with her family and an invitation to talk on TEDx, a program designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.
To her, this is just the beginning of the greater things life has to offer and is very excited to be of the experience of affecting positive change in Ghana and the world at large.
