Emirates, a global giant in the aviation industry, on Thursday relocated to its new office premises within the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

The inauguration of the new office was performed jointly by the Minister of Transport, Madam Dzifa Aku Attivor and Mr Hendrik Du Preez, Emirates Country Manager in Ghana.

Madam Attivor hailed Emirates for the provision of excellent services to Ghanaians, and congratulated them on their 10th Anniversary in Ghana.

Mr Preez said the opening of the new office coincides with the Anniversary, which is an expression of the tremendous growth and investment that has taken place since their first flight out of Accra in January, 2004.

He said since the first flight back, the airline had increased its Accra to Dubai services from four flights a week to a daily service, declaring that the popularity of the route is a testament to the award winning service offered by Emirates.

He said: ?Here in Ghana, the airline has been awarded the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana Best Airline of the Year for three years running and the seventh Ashanti Business Excellence Award.?

Mr Preez said travellers from Accra could attest to the award winning travel experience enjoyed on the Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, which was introduced to the route last year, following an upgrade from the Airbus A340-500.

He said the Boeing 777, the second largest aircraft in their fleet, offers 354 seats in a three-class configuration with eight luxurious First Class suites, 42 seats in Business Class and generous space for 310 passengers in the economy class.

He said Emirates had come this far, as one of the world?s most recognised airline brands, because of the patronage and the support they enjoy from their customers, stakeholders and the public.

Mr Preez said the commitment of Emirates to set new standards and create experiences through innovation in products and services continues, adding: ?We inspire travel and facilitate trade across our 142 destinations in 80 countries with our award-winning comfort and service.?

He said as the economy of Ghana grows, the aviation sector has also seen a marked development which Emirates is honoured to be part of.

Mr Preez said the new office confirmed Emirates confidence in the growth of Ghana?s economy and the country?s continue support by offering high quality services to travellers on Emirates.

He said Ghana is an important market for the airline hence the commitment of management to ensure that their clients have access to the best customer service in order to facilitate business with Emirates. GNA
