We Can Win Euro 2012 ? Ozil
Mon, 25/06/2012 ? 3:15am | AGENCY REPORT Football Sports

Real Madrid playmaker Ozil has disclosed that after the Mannschaft?s 4-2 win in the quarter-final they now have renewed belief that they can go all the way and win the Euro 2012. Mesut Ozil believes that the three changes in attack that Joachim Low made in Germany?s 4-2 win against Greece at the Euro 2012 quarter-finals on Friday allowed him to move more freely. The Real Madrid attacking midfielder had been underwhelming in the team?s first three group games, but finally came alive in a Man-of-the-Match display against the Greeks. ?That game came as a relief to me. I was able to show what I was capable of,? Ozil told Bild am Sonntag. ?I was only angry that I wasn?t able to score a goal.?

Asked to comment on Low?s decision to field Miroslav Klose, Marco Reus and Andre Schurrle in the starting XI up front, Ozil said it brought his own game to a whole new level. ?I?ve certainly benefited from the changes.

We had a lot of open players, and there was a lot of movement, which makes my game easier. We had confidence earlier, but the way we played against the Greeks certainly makes us feel stronger. Getting a 15th competitive win drives us on. I?ve read in Bild German newspaper that it would be a world record ? it should be. The other nations will all respect us now. That?s how I felt before the tournament in the Real Madrid dressing room. Everyone knows exactly how strong our national team is.? Germany will face either England or Italy in the semi-finals.

Real Players Will Tame Ronaldo? Busquets

The Barcelona defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets has assured that Los Blancos? players in the Spanish team will be ready to fight against their in-form club team-mate in the Seleccao when they meet Portugal.

Sergio Busquets is confident that Real Madrid?s players in the Spain side will not hold back when they face their colleague Cristiano Ronaldo in the semi-final showdown with Portugal at Euro 2012. After beating France 2-0 in the last eight on Saturday, the title holders are set to take on a side whose last three goals came from the Madrid attacker, first in the group stage against Netherlands where he scored a brace, then in the dying minutes of the quarter-final against the Czech Republic.

Barcelona midfielder Busquets dismissed the notion that the likes of Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso may be tempted to go soft on their club team-mate to avoid injuring him. ?If the Real players are told to go strong into a challenge on Ronaldo, they will go strong,? Busquets was quoted as saying by O Jogo. ?These aren?t club clashes but national team clashes. It is a different story altogether.? Busquets also warned that La Roja must not focus solely on the Madrid forward.
