The first classroom block has outlived it purpose. Teachers and students lives are in danger because the very structure under which classes are held has part of the roofing riped off by rain storm for sometime now. The walls have cracked as well as the base of the school block foundation is showing due to erosion. The entire structure has now become a death trap and should a disaster struck there would be a lot of casualties. Palm branches have turned into roofing sheets to protect the pupils and teachers from direct contact with the sun,a sign of bad weather closses down the school. primary 3,4,5,and 6 has to be tranfered to JHS campus to enable them have classes.when this reporter of denyigba radio visited the school, classes as usual was in session.Teachers who do not want to be heard on tape and also be anonymous poured out their frastrations about the situation, some of which are inadequate classrooms blocks, Tables, chairs as well as teaching and learning materials. Assemblyman of the Area HON john wornooo also known as Hon Konto confirmed the situation and has said he has brought the situation to the knowledge of the ketu north district Assembly itself but nothing has been done about it. However Checks at the ketu north district assembly’s developmetal plans has not captured Kave D/A basic school in a medium term development plan. The people of kave of who’s wards are in the school have been complaining bitterly about the neglect of the only school that serves the community and are therfore calling on the government and philantropist to come to their aid to avert disaster.
