The session was facilitated by Paul Anoma-kodieh, a former student and an ace anchor man at ETV, who interacted and encouraged his fellow visually-impaired friends to rely on alternative abilities to become successful.

Mr. Anoma-kodieh reflected on how user-friendly technology and applications have not only made his work better but has afforded him the luxury of listening to text messages and surfing the internet without assistance from anyone.

Answering questions on the challenges he faces as a visually impaired reporter, Mr. Anomakodie noted he is privileged to be leading a normal life.

Commenting on the telecom operator?s efforts, Nana Yaa Ofori-Koree, Head of Vodafone Foundation and Sustainability said:

?Key Ghanaians with disabilities like Paul and current Chieftaincy Minister, Henry Siedu Daanaa, have set the pace for others to know that one can achieve immeasurable success despite being visually impaired. At Vodafone, we find it necessary to show commitment and support to schools such as this as it is in line with our ethos as a company?.

The Headmistress of the school, Mahela Narh applauded Vodafone for introducing sessions to empower disabled persons to believe in themselves and to better integrate into society.

She said, ??Vodafone?s kind gesture speaks volumes of the company?s commitment to promoting CSR in Ghana?.

The company presented assorted items to the school including mobile phones and other accessories.
