Uwajumogu cautioned supporters to avoid fights

In his firm believe that politics devoid of bitterness and rancor remained the major thrust of every sane democratic setting, the senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC and the Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu, has cautioned his teeming supporters across the zones of the state never to engage in any kind of fight against his perceived political opponents, even as he called on his supporters to peacefully ensure their votes counted.

The Speaker, who was addressing top ranking community and political leaders in Okigwe local government area of the state during his sensitization visit to the area over his senatorial ambition in March 28 senatorial election, noted that hitting up the political atmosphere because of an individual?s political interest was totally unacceptable, as power solely comes from God.
He stated that Okigwe zone remained one united family, maintaining that nobody?s political aspiration was worth being used to destabilize the zone or spill the blood of any Okigwe indigene.
Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu, emphasized the need for every candidate in the zone to have the sense of service and brotherhood in him, pointing out that his perceived opponent for the zones senate position, chief Athan Achonu remains his brother, as well as a good business man whom he strongly believes would never be distracted in his ventures.
He described Chief Athan Achonu, as a successful business mogul, whose business enterprise could better be likened to the famous Aliko Dangote, pointing out that with his rising business profile, he could become one of the richest businessmen in the country and Africa, only if he is encouraged to remain focused in the business world, by shunning unnecessary distractions by those he described as political jobbers who do not mean well for Okigwe zone, while urging sons and daughters from the area to always remember him in their daily prayers to enable him actualize such feat which would benefit the zone.
The Speaker, assured the people that Okigwe zone was in to record resounding success in infrastructural, social and human capital developments, as his representation would focus on the attraction of massive federal presence to the zone to change the economic status of the people, while women and youths empowerments, scholarships to indigent students, as well as the improvement of agricultural activities would be given a pride of place.
