Inspite of Ghana?s strides in education on the African Continent, the quality of education is falling as only 16 per cent of grade six students proficient in mathematics for example and only 35 per cent proficient in English, according to the 2011 National Education Assessment.

The Ag. Director-General, Ghana Education Service Mr. Charles Aheto-Tsegah, says Ghana has made steady rapid commendable progress in the education sector over the past few years but look forward for collective investments like that of the USAID and UNICEF to improve the sector.
