US NGO Reading Hamlet’s donates 100 books to outstanding students

Abuja-It was an exciting and a very happy day for secondary school girls at Government Secondary School, Maraba Abuja on Oct 13 as once again Reading Hamlets, a US based non profit organization went above and beyond to give the outstanding young girls brand new books.

Reading Hamlets Reading Hamlets volunteers, including RH founder, read self esteem books to young girls in each classroom and also donated 100 books to young girls who their grades significantly improved within the past year.

“We wanted to show our support and encourage these young girls. We are focused on the commitment to youth, education and understand that the toughest roadblock to children’s literacy in low-income areas is a lack of books” says Christina Ude, Chief Executive Officer, Reading Hamlets. ?We wanted to promote literacy and reading at the same time, while giving the girls great gifts, Books. It was a great day for the students and all of us at Reading Hamlets.?

Reading Hamlets focuses on providing literacy opportunities to children across Nigeria by donating books to libraries & children living in low income areas. They identify a needy community and provide children at local schools and in the neighborhood, of their own new children’s books. Celebrating its third year, RH, in collaboration with the award winning non-profit organization First Book, provides new books to children in need.
