BIG CHRIS - HIP HOP ARTISTE

UK base Ghanaian artiste Big Chris has arrived in the country Ghana, his motherland to settle and produce good Hip hop music for the hip hop / RNB community.

Signed to C7studios inside the capital, OSU RE to be precise, Big Chris has a strong passion for hip-hop and RnB no wonder that in 2008 his song WDR- Bringin it down was number one in the Channel U charts in the UK for 6 weeks straight.

According to Big Chris in 2009 he came to Ghana for a short period, then the main idea was to study the terrain and prepare well to join his fellow Ghanaians cooking hip hop songs for the community that loved it but upon his arrival he is very much delighted with the response for Hip Hop music now in the country.

He disclosed: ‘In 2009 when I came home (Ghana) I got much love for the kind of music I do just because it was so large and better, well accepted in the country, that made me feel comfortable knowing that if I return the journey to a successful career will be achieved’.

He noted: ‘right now Hip Hop in Ghana has grown so well, fast and reliable such that there is a hip hop awards coming up pretty soon I heard, so for me as Big Chris a hip hop / RNB artiste, I know I will fit in as a strong hip hop brand if I calculate my steps well and that’s exactly what I am going to do, not just fit but to be accepted by the ears of hip hop music in Ghana.
Big Chris is set to take some couple of tours to Junior / senior high schools, of which he will be giving speeches about selected topics and will be doing some donations to them as well.

In a chat with Nelson, manager of C7Studios he stressed that Ghanaians can check Big Chris on youtube as he has a number of videos there. Right now the plane is about moving for Big Chris, meaning management is about to kick start his promotion and we hope Ghana will accept us, especially when he is the first UK base Ghanaian artiste to come home, spend time with his people and more also talks about the country not only when the Black Stars are playing soccer unlike some UK Ghanaian artistes do on twitter.

Ghana welcomes home her lost but found son, Big Chris, even though we dont know which part of Ghana he comes from, we hope he enjoys his stay and makes the best of hip hop music as now Hip Hop has a root in our motherland.
