Two suspected robbers have been grabbed and are now being held at the Kumasi Central Police Station.

Their names were only given as Banahene and ?Deadly Body?.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Kofi Boakye, the Ashanti Regional Commander, told a press briefing in Kumasi that the suspects are believed to be members of a criminal gang linked to a series of robbery incidents in the metropolis.

They are suspected to have also set a house ablaze at Asawase on February 13, in a reprisal attack.

They were arrested in separate operations carried out by the police and would soon be arraigned.

DCOP Boakye said every effort was being made to arrest the remaining members of the gang ? Yaw Wiafe, alias ?Azule,? Sisco and Obuasi.

In a related development, one of three other suspected criminals, who attacked and robbed a man of his GH?5,000.00, Dell laptop computer and two cellular phones has been nabbed.

George Mensah, together with his two fugitive colleagues, had attacked the victim, Richard Nyame, in broad daylight at Atwima Koforidua on March 24.

DCOP Boakye said the victim spotted the suspect two weeks later at Koforidua near Abuakwa and caused his arrest.

He had already confessed to the crime, and having received GH?1,000.00, as his share of the booty.

A search in his room by the police uncovered 13 cellular phones suspected to have been stolen. GNA
