Twedie Murder, Two Persons Arrested.

Two persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the brutal killing of a couple at Twedie in the Atwima Kwanwoma District in the Ashanti Region.The suspects have been placed in police custody, pending interrogation.

Two arrested over Twedie murder

According to the Asokwa District Police Crime Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Simon Denteh, the police were still pursuing other suspects over the murder.

The two suspects, a man known as, Joseph Amankwah and his son William Amakwah who are both residents in Abuakwa in Kumasi were arrested on Saturday following police investigations.

Simons Adu-Gyamfi, 45 and his 42-year-old wife,Georgina Yaa Kyerewaa were shot dead from a close range in front of their house at Twedie on 12 September around 9 p.m. after alighting from  a vehicle.

Simons Adu-Gyamfi who had before his killing received numerous threats on his life by some opposing factions in a cheiftancy dispute at Twedie.
