Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah says their quest to qualify to the 2013 African Cup of Nations lie in their own hands.

The Black Stars will take on Malawi in the crucial reverse leg of the qualifier in Lilongwe needing to avoid a 3-0 defeat to qualify to the continental showpiece.

Coach Kwesi Appiah is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the team?s impressive record against The Flames will not be halted in the Southern African country.

He has assembled a host of stars who have been in top shape for their respective clubs both home and abroad for the crucial decider on Saturday.

There is some sense of anxiety among Ghanaian local fans ahead of the fixture in the capital but the in-form Red Bull Salzburg towering figure is confident the team can scale the hurdle. .

?Everybody is serious about this match because we want to qualify. We?ve been training hard for this game because we cannot afford to disappoint our fellow countrymen,?

?We are going there to beat them but our destiny will lie in our own hands. We are only praying for a good day.

?We never had it easy in the first leg but they (Malawi) are also not going to have it easy against us at their own backyard.

?We have a solid team and I believe we can put the Malawian to sleep.?

Malawi and Ghana have met on five previous occasions with the Ghanaians winning on four of those and a draw in the other.

Malawi have never scored against the Ghanaians in five games despite conceding 16 times in those games with 12 of those goals coming in the very first meeting between the sides in a friendly in 1962.
