The death is announced of Kumbungu DCE

Alhaji Iddi Manzah Mahama, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kumbungu, has passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after a short illness.

Neonatal DeathsIddi Manzah, as he was popularly called, died on Wednesday after being on admission at the hospital for some weeks for an undisclosed illness.

Iddi Manzah, who was 60, was buried at Dalun, his hometown, in the Kumbungu District on Thursday in compliance with Islamic rules.

He left behind three wives and some children.

Iddi Manzah served as DCE for the then Tolon-Kumbungu District from 2009 to 2012.

When Kumbungu became a district on its own in 2012, Iddi Manzah continued to serve as its Chief Executive and he was later appointed by the President and confirmed as the DCE in February 2014.

Iddi Manzah was a trained teacher, who graduated from the then Pusiga Teacher Training College, now Pusiga College of Education.

Mr Mohammed Alhassan, Kumbungu District Coordinating Director, described the deceased as a ?down to earth person?, who was very hardworking and determined to better the lot of the people of the District.

Mr Alhassan said the loss of Iddi Manzah was a difficult moment for his (Iddi Manzah) family and the district and asked residents of the district to pray for his soul to rest in peace.
