Local-based German graffiti artist, David Bethmann, was yesterday announced winner of Hennessy?s Special Futura Graffiti Art Competition.
He beat off competition from two others; Accra-based American Ram Ankh Film and NAFTI-trained artist, Prince Kojo-Hilton.
The announcement was made on the sidelines of a special signature bottle unveiling event held at the Cahaya Lounge, East Legon, to usher in a new Hennessy product range ? Futura. Ghana yesterday became the first country in West Africa to launch the new Hennessy product.
The highly patronized event, brought together the city?s most trendiest celebrities and corporate giants, in a setting that patrons have said was awesome.

This year?s campaign is being built around the widely known New York-based Graffitti artist Futura, who designed the new bottle.

?For my point of view, Graffiti is a beautiful fading in the changing city-life-process. Because of its divers faces, it is a fundamental democratic expression: It is part of a world full of possibilities and a world full of changes.?
