Special Adviser To Governor Emmanuel Dead

ObiPublisher of TheTimesNigeria.com who also doubles as special adviser on information and communication technology (ICT) to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, Sunny Ofili Saturday died in a ghastly car accident in Delta state. Per Second News gathered that the Obi of Issele-Uku, Henry Ezeagwunam, also died in the crash together with his son.

The late Ofili a resident of the State of Maryland in the United States, was planning to run for a seat in the Delta State House of Assembly.

According to a source in the family the victims were burnt to death as the Vehicle they were traveling in burst into flames after crashing into a stationary truck laden with gravel. The horrific accident happened at the Otulu junction on the Benin-Asaba-Onitsha expressway as the vehicle conveying Mr. Ofili and the traditional ruler rammed from behind into a truck with an Edo registration number FUG 238 XA.

The source said that the traditional ruler was behind the wheels while Mr. Ofili was on the passenger side at the time of the accident. The rear tyres of the truck bursted from the impact, with the SUV burnt beyond recognition.

Mr Ofili was supposed to join his wife and children in the United States for their annual vacation next week, as the family arrived the U.S last week ahead of the Journalist turn politician.
