An autopsy report of Adio Rakhib, the student of St Pauls Senior High School who died as a result of the riots, revealed that the boy was hit by ?a high velocity gunshot.?

According to the report the bullet penetrated and fractured his skull leading to his death.

Information gathered during the incident on the school?s campus is that Rahkib after being shot was left in a pool of blood until his colleagues transported him on a bicycle to the hospital according to the students.

But, an uncle of 17-year-old Adio Rahkib, Yushau Turawah, is blaming the police for being ?unprofessional? by using live ammunition to disperse rioting Senior High School students at St. Paul?s Senior High School.

Yushau Turawah also blamed school authorities for allowing the riot to degenerate after some of the students accused their colleagues of being gay and attempting to lynch them.

The deceased father, Alhaji Suleman has said he was unsure of the claims by the Police that his son was involved in the riots. According to him, the boy was physically challenged and hence could not be part of such riot.
He has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to probe into the riot and get to the bottom of the matter.

However, according to the Communications Director of the Ghana Police Service, DSP Caephas Arthur, the policemen who were involved in the sad incident have been detained pending investigations.

It could be recall that St Paul?s Senior High School at Denu in Volta Region has been closed down over riots on Friday night which led to the death of the student and several others injured.

The students were allegedly protesting against the Police?s attempts to protect two of their colleagues whom they accused of engaging in sodomy.

According to one of the teachers, the students claimed they had caught two of their colleagues having gay sex and insisted on delivering an instant justice of beating them. The school authorities after several failed attempts to control the students called in the Police.

The two suspects; a first and second year male students were allegedly seen caressing each other and having anal sex.
Some of the students who spoke to?the issue said they were compelled to immediately penalize their colleagues because the school authorities had been condoning such acts in the school.
Some of the students have also accused the Police of having a hand in their colleague?s death. They claim the Police opened fire on the when they arrived on school premises and one of the stray bullets hit their colleague.
