Kwame Yeboah Soul to Soul debuts at +233 Jazz Bar & Grill on Dec 31

All is set for the maiden edition of the Soul II Soul Old School music night. Accra?s discerning fun-loving community will converge at the +233 Jazz Pub & Grill in North Ridge on New Year?s Eve, for what is expected to be a thrilling night of good old school music from the 70s, 80s and early 90s.

An initiative of Karl Aubyn Events and +233, Soul II Soul will feature an impressive collection of Old School tracks, both local and international including Soul, Funk, Highlife, Hiplife, R&B, and Afrobeat among other rhythms.

Music for the maiden edition will be performed live by the talented Kwame Yeboah and his Ohiabeye Ya Band, but with an exciting blend of a live disc jockey session.

The December 31 event will also feature performances by Nana Yaa (daughter of the legendary Pat Thomas) & Friends.

Expected to be the city?s preferred destination for unadulterated Old School music, Soul II Soul will ?harness local talent to present a monthly musical experience featuring our most talented bands and artistes performing both African and African American tracks of yesteryear,? the organizers have said.

The maiden event promises to be fun-packed, offering a double dose of entertainment with the traditional +233 midnight firework display, ushering in the New Year. There will also be a feast of grills served through to the early hours of the morning.

An exciting and refreshing concept, Soul II Soul will be held on the first Friday of every month from February 1, 2013.

Gates for the event open at 9:00pm.
