Popular Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah has admitted that singing is the most difficult profession in showbiz compared to acting which she is well vested in and widely known for.

The sexy screen goddess stunned many by venturing into music and subsequently released her first single, The Joy Wednesday, on a number of radio stations across the country including Joy FM, Adom FM and Hitz FM, to show off her singing prowess.

Jackie thus, joins other renowned actresses including, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Stella Damasus, Genevieve Nnaji and Shan George, who are combining acting with music.

“It is difficult,” she noted, adding, “I don’t envy musicians at all because going into the booth; you have to sing from your stomach and you need so much energy to sing and it was really tough.” She was speaking in an interview with Hitz Entertainment News.

Although the recording process was a humongous task, Jackie Appiah is confident stating, “It’s a nice song, Zap Mallet produced the song. I have shot the video as well and the people in the video [include], Kalsum Sinare, Kwame Faakye, Kwame Bee, Ekow Smith Asante, there are a whole lot of stars in the video.”

The versatile actress has carved a niche for herself in the African movie terrain and is currently a household name for her sheer agility. Her versatility, she said, pushed her to try her hands on music.

“As an artiste, you should try your hands on everything and try to be versatile sometimes and I wanted to see another hidden talent I haven’t discovered. I wanted to see how people will accept me for that and I am waiting to see the response.”

“I will not stop acting,” she affirmed but said her future in music relies heavily on the feedback she gets from her first single which was composed by Nanaba Tee and produced by Hammer Productions.
