NEWS-ONE gathered that the musician was served the writ on Tuesday morning, weeks after media speculations that a defamatory suit against him was most likely.

Shatta Wale recently published on his social media page, some four videos of himself making derogatory and insulting statements against Charter House.

The musician also hurled insults at his colleague musicians, workers of Charter House and owners of the company. A portion of the video has even been said to border on threats.

NEWS-ONE is yet to see a copy of the writ to know what exactly the petitioners are claiming to be defamatory, though it is public knowledge that the artiste has over the last two years insulted the company consistently.

Shatta Wale?s attacks on Charter House started about two years ago when he was nominated in one of the categories for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) but lost the award to female dancehall act Kaakie.

Soon after the event ended, Shatta Wale got angry and was reported to have vandalised Charter House?s property at the venue.? He followed this with a song to insult the company and even used some unprintable adjectives to describe the genital of the artiste he lost the award to?Kaakie.

The controversy added to his fame; and that year, Charter House put him on some of the company?s biggest events. He was put on the bill for the Guinness Big Eruption and Ghana Rocks.

Shatta Wale made a ?u-turn? which won the admiration of many, when he took to the Ghana Rocks platform to publicly apologise to Charter House but soon after that, released another song to insult the company.

The musician is also on record to have described the Ghanaian media as ?the most foolish? set of journalists he ever came across?an insulting statement that has been endorsed by his manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, aka Bull Dog.

Shatta Wale took to his official facebook page to write: ?IN FACT GHANA MEDIA IS THE MOST FOOLISH MEDIA I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE?ANY MEDIA THAT PUBLISH ANY FAKE NEWS ABOUT ME SHATTA WALE IS A PUSSY?!!! I HAVE SAID IT?PUSSY,? and surprisingly the first person to like the statement on Shatta Wale?s wall was Bull Dog.

The popular musician has gained notoriety for insulting persons and institutions whose opinions about him, he does not agree with. Though the attitude has been largely condemned by entertainment pundits and civil society, Shatta Wale?s handlers have not chided him, at least publicly, about his conduct.
