Snippets of information chanced upon by Today from the corridors of power indicate that President John Evans Atta Mills is planning on changing the Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Dr Frank Odoom, and the Board Chairman, Mr Kwame Peprah.

Emboldened by his desire to see action in all government agencies in this election year, Today has it that the president has the two on his hit list; reasons, non-performance.

The two, our sources explain, apart from not being able to deliver on a single of the several SSNIT projects promised by the government, illegally take home mouth-watering salaries.

Our sources also confirmed that the inaction of the under-performing SSNIT bosses reports indicate has resulted in the bulk of the work at SSNIT being left for their deputies.

The two have also been recently accused by Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG), a political pressure group, of profligately spending to the tune of GH¢70, 000 on trips abroad, threats, intimidations, non-adherence to statutory regulation by engaging a consultant to develop and review a 5-year strategic plan within a year at a cost of US$70,000.

AFAG also accused the director general of SSNIT of insulting workers and outrageous rental of a residence for him costing over $100,000 in two years.
