These past few days haven’t been well between the media and the composer of Free Press, Sarkodie.

Most people in the media have said that Sarkodie could have expressed his opinion without hurting so many people with those lyrics he spit on the Busta Rhymes “Put your hands where my eyes can see instrumentals.

The Final mixer of the song, PossiGee has spoken about the Free Press and according to him, Sarkodie is right and owes no one any form of apology.

According to Mohammed Awal, popularly kn0wn as PossiGee,

Sarkodie shouldn’t apologize to anyone. Yes he shouldn’t. Do you know how many people in the industry who are trying to pull him down, he sent that message to them not a message to the whole media team. Besides if Sarkodie has said anything wrong to anyone then it has to be those people who are cock-blocking him.

When asked why Sarkodie couldn’t specify these people in the song but rather sent it as a Broadcast Message to the whole media, the sound producer said,

If you should approach a lady in town, and you try telling her your sweet words, and later on she replies and tell you all guys are the same, womanizers, hit n run kind of guys, and you know deep down in your heart you are loyal, will you feel offended by her words? This is exactly what Sarkodie did. If you know you have ever pulled Sarkodie’s name out of an event, you have been on the Radio or TV to defame the guy without facts, you keep saying he charges too much for events so they should replace him with someone who will charge lesser, then he has the right to tell you what he thinks too.

In addition, PossiGee asked us, i learned the Online Writers in Ghana are suspending articles about Sarkodie, why are you doing this?

We said, well, the association feels the rapper has said some things that weren’t said in a right way, however we feel offended with those words which he has used to degrade our brand so until further notice, we are not to publish about him. Its optional though, you can post if you want but that means you are an anti GOAWA.

Possigee added, Fine to me if they are not going to publish articles about Sarkodie. I repeat, he owes no one an apology and i mean that, i wonder why you guys have taken this song personal because honestly speaking, those words weren’t directed to online writers. We have no doubt that online writers are doing their work as a body of the media and we know the whole media would be offended with the song ‘FREE PRESS’ but listen, it is your own blog, you can post about whoever you want to post and if you believe you have never cock-blocked the shine of Sarkodie in any devilish way, then the Free Press which was worked on by myself in my studio is a minus for you and your profession as a media man. So i say, To Whom The Cap Fits……………..

Before you leave let me tell you this, Sarkodie has a lot of projects with me and in no time soon he will get them released but trust me, if he releases them i dont want any of these blogs to publish them. (He dares GOAWA).

In short, the song i recorded for him dubbed Free Press is a message that is directed to a certain group of people in the media who are against his success. These people keep saying bad things about the BET award winner, pulling him out of shows and spreading false news about him. So you see, if you know very well that you have done nothing devilish or anthing to retrogress him, then why would you be offended with his words on Free Press to the extent of demanding an apology. he added.

PossiGee has worked with almost all the top artistes we have in Ghana, including Sarkodie, Fuse ODG, Tifanny, R2bees, Chase, Yaw Siki, Efya, Nana Boroo and more? including Wizkid from Nigeria.
