It was all joy and adoration at Manso Dadiese in the Amansie Central Municipality in the Ashanti Region when the CEO of S.K Boafo Travel and Tours put a smile on the faces of the inhabitants. He donated a number street lights to the town to relieve them of the excessive darkness that has engulfed the town for years now.

Although Dadease has been hooked to the National Grid, the lack of street lights has resulted in the town?s streets being plunged into darkness during the night thereby movement within parts of the town somehow dangerous at that time.

It came as a timely intervention and a great relieve when the renowned businessman came to their aid with the provision of the street lights and replaced faulty ones and the burned out bulbs.

Notwithstanding this great benevolence, Elder S.K Boafo also touched the hearts of a hundred of the town folks, mostly the aged and the less privileged by registering them onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for free.

In an interview after the donation, Elder. S.K Boafo indicated that it was not the first time he is engaging in such a benevolent act and added that it is expected of every successful man to give back to society, ?God expects us to be benevolent, ?giving? attracts more blessings than receiving, when you put a smile on the face of the poor they bless you and it opens the door of blessings for you? he urged all to do so as well.

He opined that, he has been doing similar things to every area he operates his travel and tour shuttle services because he can?t watch people walk in darkness and endanger their lives.

According to him, he realized also that the people of Dadease had been holding funerals almost every week and when he enquired, he was told it was as a result of lack of money to attend to the hospital and their inability to register for the NHIS as such they resort to traditional medication by way of cooking herbs and other concoctions or enema to cure a sickness they don?t even have any knowledge about, thereby killing them eventually. This he said touched his heart hence his motivation to register some of them especially the aged and the vulnerable onto the scheme at the cost of five thousand Ghana Cedis.

Elder S.K Boafo is a well known transport provider for the Newmont Mining Company in Akyem Abirem and Asanko Gold in the Dadieso area as well as other parts of the country. His company, ‘S.K Boafo Travel and Tours’ is a hallmark name in the transport business in Ghana with higher reputation in the importation of vehicles and accessories such as powerful car batteries and car parts.

The community, lead by chief of the town, Nana Akwasi Nyame thanked Elder. Boafo for the overwhelming goodness done them and asked God`s Blessings for him. He also took the opportunity to appeal to the General public to emulate what Mr. S.K Boafo had done in order to elevate the poor from their impoverish situations.
