Ghana U20 To Miss Out On Boakye-yiadom For Fifa World Youth Championship

Ghana U20 are likely to miss the services of Italy-based striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom for the FIFA World Youth Championship next month.

The Juventus player has been invited by senior national team coach Kwesi Appiah for next month’s 2014 FIFA World Cup double-header against Sudan and Lesotho.

The two away matches will require that the 19-year-old will spend 14 days with Kwesi Appiah’s side and will miss the Black Satellites tour of Switzerland.

Boakye will be available after June 17-four days to the start of the FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey.

Playing at the prestigious would mean the teenager will be denied rest during the off-season after helping Sassuolo qualify to the Serie A.

Boakye-Yiadom is co-owned by Juventus and Genoa.
