Spanish giants Real Madrid and Juventus look to have the upper-hand among the four top European clubs seeking the signature of the hugely talented Ghana defender Baba Abdul-Rahman.

The left-back, who excelled for Ghana at the recent Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Equatorial Guinea, has also been pencilled down by Italian side Roma and Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid.

However, Spanish giants Real Madrid look to have the edge in the race as they sent scouts to monitor the Ghana international?s exploits throughout the 2015 Afcon in January.

They, however, now have a bit of a handful other suitors to probably compete with for the signature of the left-back who is already excelling in his first season with German Bundesliga side Augsburg.

According to latest reports in the Italian media, Juventus and Roma have also joined the trail while Atletico Madrid follow with keen interest.

The 20-year-old had been tipped to move to a champions league club in the January transfer window but his management, in confirming interests from the two Madrid giants to supersport.com said:

?It is true these clubs are on Baba. I doubt even Augsburg will accept a move this January counting the investment they have made and allowing him leave this short time. Anything could happen later after the season,? CEO of Proton Sport, Kurt Okraku said.

Baba Rahman has been in consistent form since switching from the Ghana league where he last played on loan at Asante Kotoko to join Greuther Furth in June 2012.

He has since his debut senior appearance away to Togo in September 2014, featured in eleven consecutive international games for the Black Stars.
