Proceeds From Mills Tribute Song Will Go To Charity ? MUSIGA

President of the Musicians Union of Ghana Mr Bice Osei Kuffour has disclosed that the proceeds from the Union?s tribute song to the late president John Evans Atta Mills will go to charity.

The musicians body shortly after Mills? death on 24th July released a tribute song titled ?Yedi awereho ( we are mourning), which features some renowned musicians including Rex Omar, Amakye Dede, Samini, Obour, Okyeame Kwame, Black Rasta and Cecilia Marfo.

Last Friday, members of the Musicians Union led by its president known in showbiz as Obour met with President Mahama to present a copy of the song and its video to him.

Obour disclosed that money raised from the sale of their song will be given to the wife of the late president, Dr Ernestina Naadu Mills to donate to any charity of her choice.

?As musicians we are doing our best to keep the memory of our late president in the minds of Ghanaians for long,? he added.

The MUSIGA boss also hinted that they may organize a concert next year to mark the one year anniversary of the late president Mills? death.
