People are beginning to criticise the way and manner government has handled the Vicky Hammah mess. A member of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfe, has hit hard at the Mahama-led administration over the dismissal of deputy Communication Minister, Victoria Hammah, describing her dismissal as?kneejerk and a lazy approach of solving issues”.

Government relieved Victoria Hammah of her post after a secret tape recording purported to be her voice went viral on social media.

In the recording, the former deputy Communications Minister was heard saying she will only quit politics after bagging one million dollars.

According to a letter signed by the Minister of Information and Media Relations, Mahama Ayariga ,?His Excellency President Dramani Mahama has relieved Miss Victoria Hammah of her post as Deputy Minister”.

Government has not said her dismissal is linked to the leaked tape but people are already reading meanings into it.

But Kabila insisted?that sacking Miss Hammah was not the panacea to restoring what he says is the already tarnished image of government.

He said even though Victoria was ?reckless? in her comments, it shows how ?disastrous? President John Mahama?s appointments were.

The former CPP National Youth Organizer questioned why Victoria Hammah has been ?punished?, when the appointing authority failed to do due diligence before putting her at that sensitive position.

He called for a bi-partisan Parliamentary committee to investigate the allegations by the former minister to put matters to rest.

?We will discuss and interrogate this matter and demand accountability of President Mahama?, Kabilla intimated.

Kabila was speaking on Asempa FM?s?Ekosii Sen?programme Friday.
