Japan Motors Trading Co. Ltd. (JMTC) has taken 29 officers and men of the Ghana Police Service through an expert training course on the use and maintenance of the latest models of Nissan Navara and Nissan Patrol vehicles.

The Police Administration has procured a fleet of vehicles from Japan Motors to aid in its security operations nationwide, hence the need to train the vehicle users before the vehicles are put to use.

The workshop which was held at JMTC?s Kumasi branch aimed at orienting the officers and men who were mostly from the northern sector of the country on the effective use ofthe vehicles which come with modern, state-of-the-art features, in order to optimize results.

Participants were oriented on the necessity of periodic maintenance, advantages of genuine spare parts, genuine verses non-genuine spare parts, Nissan servicing schedules, genuine engine oil and unadulterated fuel, turbocharger handling, precautions regarding the use of turbocharged engines and the Technical specifications and features of D40 and Y61.

Facilitators at the workshop included Mr. Mohammed R. Byrouthy ? General Manager Aftersales of JMTC, Abdul-MonemMetwaly ? Kumasi Branch Manager of JMTC, Mr. Johnny Bright Sevor ? Training Instructor and Nana Boakye.

In an interview with the media, Mr. Mohammed Byrouthy indicated that aside the benefits that the workshop would expose the Officers to, his Company would also support the Police Service with the needed spare parts and other sensitive components. This, he said, would help in maintaining the vehicles properly.

In addition to this commitment, the training delegates were informed on the warranty support which is three years or 100,000 Km, whichever comes first.

The Police delegation was led by Chief Inspector Michael Appiah of the Regional Station Workshop in Kumasi
