PDP Executives Deny Accepting Back Returnees

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) executive in Ward 12, Ezinihitte Local Government Area of Imo State has debunked a media report that the ward 12 executive members and other Stakeholders had a meeting at the instance of the husband of the former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Chilaka Okwuonu where returnees were received back to the PDP.
According to a release from the PDP Executive of Ward 12 that was endorsed by the Acting Chairman, Hon. (Barr) Bishop Maduka and other executive members, the Ward 12 Executive denied holding any meeting of the PDP where Chief Okwuonu, received returnees back to the party.
Continuing, the Ife/Chokoneze/Akpodim ward PDP executive disclosed that there is none addressed as ?His Excellency in Ward 12, adding that ?it is a false claim?.
The ward executives further disclosed that the meeting may be the Okwuonu Political Structure meeting and not that of PDP, alleging that the Okwuonu Political Structure of arranging their members in all parties for profit-making.
It reads in part, ?There are those in APC led by Robert Ahaneku; those in APGA led by Barr. Emperor Iwuala who they say is Chief Press Secretary to APGA Governorship aspirants.?
The release alleged that Chief Eddy Anyanwu is the Chairman of Okwuonu Political Structure, and he was the one that addressed their members.
According to the release, Chief Bon Nwakanma (SAN) is the PDP apex leader in ward 12 while Anyanwu ceased to be the PDP Ward Chairman since 2011 while Chief Okwuonu lost the Ezinihitte LG apex leadership of the party in PDP to Retired Air Commodore Luke Ochulor.
Our reporter learned that the ward chairmanship position has been a source of political bickering between the incumbent Acting Chairman, Hon Maduka and former Chairman, Chief Anyanwu.
A meeting of PDP Stakeholders in Ezinihitte Mbaise LG was said to have taken place at the residence of the apex leader Ochulor at Okpofe to resolve the matter
