The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is likely to pullout of the Asempa Fm Ekosii Sen programme for the second time following a scuffle on Wednesday between Hopesin Adoye, the NPP representative on the show and the host Bobie Ansah.

The party earlier boycotted the programme and accused the host of being bias. Yesterday on the same platform, Adoye and host Ansah were at each other’s throat over the latter’s style of moderating.

The situation attracted both NPP and NDC supporters who besieged the premises of Asempa Fm owned by the Multimedia Group.

A contingent of police personnel with two crowd control ammunition vehicles stormed the Joy Fm building at Kokomlemle, which hosts Asempa Fm to protect life and property.

Adoye on Thursday told Citi News the host allegedly threatened him with a gun.

He said: “I saw a pistol in his pocket and when he walked towards me that we think he cannot discipline us and that enough of our nonsense and all that he put the hand in the pocket and frankly I saw a pistol.”

“I am a barracks boy, my father was a policeman so I know pistol, so I saw the pistol but he didn’t pull it on me that may be he will shoot me, that one no.”

Adoye added: “Oh, I was normal and I was ready for that because I am security conscious and before he could pull that gun I know what to do before that gun will even come out from his pocket, I am very, very conscious.”
