The first vice chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Fred Oware has cautioned members of the party not to dismiss the issues raised by Dr. Arthur Kennedy and Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobbey.

The two have been condemned for their public criticisms of decisions taken by the leadership of the party.

Dr. Wereko-Brobbey has subsequently been suspended for describing the star witness of the petitioners in the ongoing election petition case, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as ?clueless? when he mounted the witness box at the Supreme Court.

Advising supporters of the NPP, Mr. Oware stated that the issues raised by the two and several others ?are matters that are of substance and that we ourselves as party leaders are looking into and making sure that some of these issues are quickly addressed.?

He mentioned that the leadership of the party, however, takes exception to party members discussing internal matters in the media.

Mr. Oware further stated that, if the current executives of the NPP are doing anything which needs to be corrected, ?we expect them [party members] to come to party office or write or summon us to their private homes or offices, and we will be more than delighted to discuss these things rather than to come on air and so to say, wash our dirty linens in public.
