NIB Adds 22 New Branches

tamale_dp15Customers of the National Investment Bank (NIB) across the country will soon have their bank in arms reach as the Bank is from this year adding 22 new branches to its existing ones.

The process, dubbed; aggressive branch expansion programme will increase the bank?s branches from 28 to 50 by 2016.

The Managing Director of the Bank, Ernest Mawuli Agbesi announced this last Friday during the official dedication and commissioning of the new ultramodern branch in Ho, the Volta Regional Capital.

He said the Board of the Bank; Chaired by the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV has approved the initiative. As a result, the bank will open six branches this year (2014), eight, next year (2015) and another eight in 2016, making 50 in 55 years of the bank?s existence.

The expansion drive is in concert with the bank?s renewed mandate of offering full range of retail banking services in addition to its original focus of the finance and nurturing of local and domestic industries.

He noted that despite the heightening competition in the banking sector, hike in inflation, expansion of the economy and increase in government expenditure, NIB is geared up for the challenge and ready to take greater risks to serve its customers and potential ones better.

Togbe Afede who graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour commended the bank for being a reliable partner to Ghana?s development, both public and private. This he said was evident in its versatility and commitment to support its clients for better and for worst in its 51 years of existence.

The Chairman of the Occasion, Kofi Attoh who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication, GIFEC underscored the need for the Ho branch to put customers first and go the extra mile to be leaders in the emerging banking enclave in the Volta Region.

The Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Francis Ganyaglo noted that the construction of a permanent edifice by the Bank was testimony to its commitment towards the region?s development.

The Branch Manager, Kwabena Takyi Sankoma gave the assurance that the bank will continue to support individuals and industries in the region to prosper.
