The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region has sent a goodwill message to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for its National Delegates? Congress slated for Tamale on Saturday to be a success.

Alhaji Yussif Alhassan Umar, Northern Regional Secretary of the NDC told the GNA in an interview in Tamale on Thursday that, ?We in the NDC in the Northern Region are wishing the NPP well.?

He said a successful congress in Tamale would be a boost for the Region to attract more investors since the place had always been given negative publicity, which was derailing development.

Alhaji Umar said the NDC, as a social democratic party, was of the view that the congress would be a success and appealed to winners to be magnanimous in victory while the vanquished in the various positions should accept defeat and forge ahead in unity to ensure that peace reigned in Tamale.

Meanwhile all is set for the congress to take place on April 12 at the Tamale Sports Stadium where more than 5,000 delegates are expected to choose National Executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years. GNA
