The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) established bilateral relationship with seven developing countries in the last one year, a statement issued by Rosemary Orubor, NACCIMA’s spokesperson said yesterday.
Orubor said that Federal Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had created the enabling environment for such opportunity.
According to her, this move had encouraged the Organised Private Sector to do business with their counterparts in Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan and Turkey.
NACCIMA said that it had also embarked on fact-finding business tour of seven countries with focus on agriculture, transportation, oil refineries, medicine and machinery.
The opportunities would translate to practical working relationships guided by Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) and other Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) and Incentives.
The association said that the bilateral agreements had resulted in many international trade exhibitions held in the last one year in Nigeria.
