In his quest to fulfill the NDC’s Better Ghana Agenda policy, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere South Assembly, Hon Edward K. Ayarkwa has put up effective measures to ensure that he relieves the citizens within the District by initiating profitable projects to archive this agenda.

Hon Ayarkwa’s name has become a household name within the district as a result of his dedication to hard work, humility and respect for both elderly and young men besides co-operating with the members of the NDC and opposition forces in the area.

Speaking to your authoritative, The Moment over  the weekend, the affable DCE said, since he assumed office, the area has seen lot of transformation, which he said included the removal of previously heaped refuse dumps in areas like Jamasi, Agona, Wiamose, Asamang and Afamanaso.

To maintain sanitation, the complacent DCE said aside his plans to solve the issues the Assembly has bought a brand new Nissan pick up and a new diesel tipper truck to tackle the sanitation issues throughout the district.

He related that projects which are presently going within the district include a 3-storey ultra-modern market complex and district police quarters which are yet to be completed. The Agona District Court he underscored has been rehabilitated while construction works on the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has also been completed and commissioned for operation.

He added that the ICT centre project at Asamang  Konadu  Yiadom SHS has also been completed with the library complex at Agona.

Among others, he hinted that revenue mobilization increased at a credible margin adding that additional truck for refuse collection has given to Zoomlion to support their sanitation works.

Still on project works, Hon Ayarkwa said rehabilitation works on Domeabra maternity clinic has been completed.

He averred that, the assembly has massively assisted the rain disaster victims in the district in addition to employment creation to beef up the work of Zoomlion in the district.

On the educational  front, he reiterated that number of schools under trees have been provided with permanent classroom blocks and  uniforms and additionally  assisted brilliant but needy students with scholarship grants to continue their school.

Hon Ayarkwa ,used the platform to urge  his colleague DCEs and MCEs to always remember where they came from and show concern, care and love for their communities and party members adding that in doing so their administration would grow from strength to strength to ensure the success of the  presidential better Ghana  agenda concept for the rapid-socio-economic development of the country.

He further saluted his constituency members for given him their support and understanding to steer the affairs of his administration without impediment.

Concluding he pleaded with the people of the district to continue giving him their support to enable him  transform the entire area but more importantly extended his warmest greetings to President Mills for putting up measures in place to transform the country.
