MoF Procurement Department Launch Website

The Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) Department of the Ministry of Finance has launched its website aimed at improving accountability, transparency and effectiveness in government business as well as procurement services.

The website, www.ggps.gov.gh, is to provide information, verification and confirmation on procurement of physical goods, products and capital assets to be used by the government.

At the launch yesterday in Accra, the Director of PSCM, Dr Tett Afottey-Walters, said the website was also to improve government efforts at reaching out to local businesses.

Launching the website, a Deputy Minister of Communications, Mr Ato Sarpong, said tracking of information related to procured assets and resources with regard to quantity, quality and location would be easier for all users.

Additionally, he said, ICT legislations, regulations and policies had been provided for the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Registrar General?s Department while the Government Online Services Portal and e-Payment (e-Services) had been initiated to serve as a one-stop-service centre for the provision of online services.
