This, she said, was to enable them to create more awareness and raise funds to help veterans and the less privilege in society.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, on her arrival in the country, she said considering the fact that her Grandfather, the late Air Vice Marshall John Odaate-Barnor, ?was and is still an influential part of the Veteran society, it is the family?s duty to ensure that he and others who fought for the country, are being taken care of by any means?.

The Runner-Up of Miss black Africa explained that she felt it was important to recognize and remember our brave warriors who had paid an ultimate price; whichever field they are or were in, as they paved the way to greatness and inspiring so many people along the way.

Miss Owuadey noted that she had worked closely with her mother Mrs. Marina Kingsley-Nyinah, AFCAG President, which had included attending numerous events both in Ghana and in the United Kingdom.

?Although my reign as First Princess is up, I intend to support this powerful and inspirational movement my mother has started, in which ever way,? she added.

Touching on the Pageant, she said she competed in the 3rd annual Miss Black Africa (MBA), UK 2013 and was crowned MBA 1st Princess alongside 2013 Queen Sonia Ike from Nigeria and 2nd Princess Tara Davies, also from Nigeria.

She stated that they were able to raise funds for the MBA team, to help refurbish a school in Imo State, Nigeria.

Miss Owuadey, therefore, appealed to benevolent individuals, organisations and the entire society to support the activities of AFCAG, as they aim at catering for veterans and the less privileged in Ghana.

Miss Black Africa, UK is the best ethnic beauty pageant in the United Kingdom, and each year 30 girls from all over Africa compete to display their beauty, intelligence, talent and most importantly love for their continent.

The winner gets to be a Goodwill Ambassador around Africa, carrying out various charitable acts.
