TRIPOLI — Five people were killed and 15 others injured in clashes between Libyan army forces and Islamist militias of Libya Dawn in the west of Libya, according to a military source.

KABUL — A total of 190 Taliban militants have been killed over the past 13 days of heavy fighting in Kunduz province with Kunduz city as its capital, 250 km north of Kabul, while 23 others laid down arms and surrendered on Wednesday, provincial governor Mohammad Omar Safi said.

KATHMANDU — The death toll from last Saturday’s earthquake in Nepal rose to 7,675 on Wednesday, according to the country’s Home Ministry.

PARIS — The co-pilot of the crashed Germanwings flight practiced “several times” the change of altitudes of the plane on the outbound flight from Duesseldorf to Barcelona, investigators said in a report on Wednesday.
