Makurdi Police Keeps 10 Cultists In Custody

At least ten suspected cultist members terrorizing the inhabitants of Agboughul a suburb settlement in Makurdi, the state capital yesterday during the Christmas season were apprehended by officers and men of the command following a tip off volunteered by a good samaritan in the state.wpid-igerian-police.jpg
Daily Times Investigations indicates that since on the eve of Christmas there have been spontaneous clashes leading to multiple injuries sustained by both sides of the cultist groups.
A source who pleaded anonymity stated that there has been misunderstanding between the black axe and Vikings over some girls which they both claim were befriending laying claim of the other snatching without their consent.
Which consequently led to spontaneous attack against the other group where the crises later resulted to a free for all fight among themselves thereby causing bodily harm from dangerous weapons which they used in carrying out their vengeance.
Meanwhile, residents of the suburb fled their settlements for the fear of unknown and had to relocate elsewhere with neighbors and relatives where their safety and security could be guaranteed in the wake of the rampaging crises.
When contacted, police public relations officer, deputy superintendent of police, DSP John Bako confirmed the development saying that men of his command following a tip off from a good samaritan were able to apprehend 5 of the suspects who are now in the custody.
The image maker further stated that items recovered from the suspected cultist includes two locally made pistols, axes and dagger adding that after investigations might have been concluded the matter will be charged to court.
