Ghana president John Dramani Mahama wants an inquisition into the Black Stars washed-out campaign at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

For the first time in three World Cup finals, the team failed to progress from the Group stage under bizarre circumstances.

In the build-up to their final Group G match on Thursday against Portugal which they lost 2-1, the players boycotted training due to their unpaid appearance fees.

His Excellency had to intervene before US$ 3m was airlifted to the team in Brasilia before their match.

Also the expulsion of duo Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari on disciplinary grounds has been a major talking point.

?We [Ghana] need to look at the team as a whole. We need to set up a committee to look at the whole system of what happened in Brazil 2014 right from the preparation, through the build up to the World Cup, to when they went to Brazil, to what happened in Brazil until they came back,? President Mahama told the press in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

Ghana?s contingent will be back home on Saturday.
