AshantiGold Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo has vehemently denied widespread reports he is set to leave the club.

GHANAsoccernet.com upon receiving credible information reported on the imminent departure of the veteran football administrator from the Obuasi-based club.

Reports of Fianoo?s departure has been in the air for weeks and heightened following their 1-0 defeat to New Edubiase in the FA Cup final a fortnight ago.

The former Administrative Manager of GHALCA has however rubbished these reports by saying emphatically he is staying put with the Miners.

?I am still the substantive Chief Executive of AshantiGold and I don?t know where these rumours are coming from,? he told Accra-based Radio XYZ.

?I have not written to the board for them to reluctantly accept my resignation so I really don?t know where these reports are coming from.?

Fianoo has been linked to the Chief Executive post of Hearts of Oak ? a position currently occupied by Ghana FA Executive Committee member Fred Crentsil.
