Gold Stars have placed an emergency call through to Liberia-based coach Kobina Amissah to take charge of their Division One League promotional playoffs.

Amissah took charge of Red Lions FC midway through the second half of the season but could rescue the club from relegation.

The former Berekum Chelsea coach arrived in Accra on Monday and will hold final talks with the Bibiani-based club.

Amissah will be making a return to the club after spending three months with them two years ago

Last season, he masterminded Sekondi Hasaacas? qualification to the top-flight and has been tasked to replicate that feat.

? They (Gold Stars) spoke to Red Lions and I have been released to handle their four matches the middle league,? Amissah told Africanfootball.com.

? I don?t want to talk about my future for now but let?s wait for what will happen.?

Gold Stars finished second on the zone 2A table behind Dunkwa FC.

The duo will compete with Eleven Wise and Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord with the winner, after a round-robin exercise, qualifying to the Ghana Premier League.
