The volunteers were received by the Chiefs of the beneficiary communities, representatives of the District Assembly, PTA executives, Headmasters, teachers and children from 4 out of the 7 communities that have benefited from the project. At the beginning of the series of events, all present stood up to sing the national anthem and afterwards there was a practical quiz competition in ICT between the participating schools. This was another form of evaluation and all the contestants were awarded prizes for their impressive performance. Other activities for the day were typing competitions, face painting, spelling and dancing competitions, reciting of poems, etc. There was also the major activity of the day, which was commissioning of the new ICT center by the leaders of the community, the coordinator for Young at Heart Ghana, Ms. Josephine Marie Godwyll and the president of Patriot Ghana KNUST, Mr. Emmanuel Yamoah.

The community and school leaders together with both organizations have drawn a timetable to ensure efficient use of the facility by all the nearby communities and also for regular monitoring and evaluation. Patriots Ghana would like to express our appreciation to Young At Heart Gh for a successful partnership and look forward to doing greater projects together in the coming years.

Also, we thank everyone that donated or supported us and appreciate the management of Shell Ghana, Total Ghana, Red Extra, and all the event planners that supported us at the CCB. We are grateful to the amazing volunteers of both organizations, which despite the academic pressures, made a lot of sacrifices to make this possible and community coordinator, Mr. Benjamin Okyere for all the help. This is just the beginning of more educational projects to come!!!
