Kevin Prince Boateng does not want to play for Ghana

Ghana football authorities must ignore concerns over the country?s bruised ego and once again beg AC Milan star Kevin Prince Boateng to return to the Black Stars, says ace commentator Moses Foh Amoaning.

The veteran sportscaster made the appeal on Thursday, one day after Boateng played a key role for AC Milan to defeat giants Barcelona 2-0 in the Champions League with the midfielder scoring one of the goals.

Boateng retired from international football just over one year ago claiming he suffers injuries on his travels to Africa to play for Ghana.

The Germany-born star switched nationality before the 2010 World Cup to play for the Black Stars, catapulting him to international prominence and securing him the move to AC Milan.

His decision to retire prematurely angered many Ghanaian who accused him of using the country to raise his international profile that helped him to secure the big money move to the Italian giants.

In the wake of his resignation the Ghana Football Association twice sent emissaries including the federation?s presdient Kwesi Nyantakyi and coach Kwesi Appiah to convince him to return but Boateng stood his ground.

With the Black Stars performing below expectation at the recent Africa Cup of Nations tournament in South Africa and Boateng excelling in the match against Barcelona, Foh Amoaning says the GFA must ignore all concerns and beg the player to return.

?The Ghana Football Association must beg KP Boateng to play for Ghana again. Just look at his brilliant performance he exhibited during the AC Milan champions league match against the best club in the world, Barcelona,? Amoaning told Happy FM.

?The FA must ignore what others will say about his (KP Boateng) recalling into the squad.

?They (GFA) must stand on their authority because if we lose such a player, it will affect our team.

?When we recall Kevin-Prince Boateng into the squad and the team performs creditably in subsequent tournaments, the same people who did not like the idea of his recall will rejoice with the FA for the success.? he stated.

The Ghana Football Association has implied that retired Kevin-Prince Boateng will be re-admitted into the Black Stars if he is interested in playing for Ghana again.
