Kevin Osei Still Keen On Switching Nationality To Play For Black Stars

France-born Ghanaian midfielder Kevin Osei says he is still waiting in the wings for a national team call-up.

The 22-year-old, who was born in France, has expressed his desire to play for the Ghanaian national team.

The Marseille player, on loan at lower division side Aviron Bayonnais is yet to clarify his nationalty switch after playing for the French Under-17 team.

But the offensive midfielder says he?s still waiting in the wings for the play for the team once his nationality switch is ratified.

?I ready and waiting for them to call me into the Ghana national team,? Osei told Happy FM

?I still don?t have my Ghanaian passport yet but hope to sort that one out soon.

?I am full blown Ghanaian. My parents are Ghanaians and so I will want to play for Ghana even though I was born here in France.?

Osei must now apply for nationality switch to enable him play for Ghana but the move must be initiated by the Ghana Football Association.

The youngster joined Marseille when he was 12 from Olympique Saint Maximinois until he signed a professional contract in 2009 after turning 18.

He was the general captain at the junior side which included Black Stars duo Andre and Jordan Ayew.
