Omeruo inspires football school of excellence

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has been appointed ambassador of Jobisports Academy to be based in Abuja.

Former Nigeria U17 and U20 star Omeruo has established himself in the Super Eagles after a five-star display at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

The Chelsea loanee was discovered in Abuja and his family still live in the Nigeria capital city.

“I’m greatly honoured by this appointment,” Omeruo said

“This is a massive boost for Nigerian football because we will establish a platform from where even more talented players than me would get a chance to move abroad.

“There are many untapped talents who are ready to take the next big step in their career and this academy will provide the avenue for them to achieve their big dreams.”

“The academy will be for special talent and we have affiliated with the Wasserman Media Group (WMG) to ensure it becomes a model in Nigeria and beyond,” academy sports director Chika Akujobi further said

“Omeruo, who we have been involved with since his days with the U17s, has therefore been appointed the ambassador of this academy, which plans to produce top quality talents like Kenneth in due course.”
